YUMA MYOTIS (BAT)

myotis yumanensis


The Yuma Myotis is a small species of bats native to western North America, about 3.31 to 3.9 in length, and has an average wingspan of 9.25 in. They are nocturnal, flying near running water the first couple of hours after sunset to hunt insects and drink water. They roost in trees, buildings, caves, cliffs, mines, and under bridges.
