ALLEN’S HUMMINGBIRD

Allen’s Hummingbird, 3.5 inches in length with a wingspan of 4.3 inches, is a species of hummingbird native to Southern Oregon, California, and Western Mexico. They nest in coastal forests, chaparral, and scrub. Allen’s hummingbirds drink nectar from flowers and tree sap while hovering in the air and eat insects both from the air and from vegetation.
